A thanksgiving surprise

As Thanksgiving wrapped up, little did I know it would be the prelude to one of the most magical, romantic moments of my life. Brandon and I had dinner plans on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and little did I suspect the evening would turn into a fairy tale.
Brandon picked me up from my parents' house, and we headed to the restaurant. Everything seemed ordinary until the hostess led us to a seemingly secluded area. My initial disappointment faded when she assured us of more seating, leading us outside and into another building. As we climbed the stairs, confusion set in, and I wondered if we were heading in the right direction.
To my surprise, upon reaching the top, I was met not by another hostess but by the smiling faces of our closest family and friends. My emotions spiraled as I saw 15 people I love dearly gathered in one space. And there it was, one of the most intimate proposal settings and moments I was about to experience The room revealed a breathtaking sight: an all-white floral heart arch with a neon sign asking the most important question. It was such a heartwarming engagement to be a part of and I am grateful.
In the midst of laughter and tears, it dawned on me that Brandon had orchestrated this romantic proposal seamlessly, a feat that seemed impossible considering my planning instincts. He got down on one knee, and his heartfelt words echoed the journey of our love since a hike in 2018. The proposal was perfect, topped off by the custom-cut three-and-a-half-carat lab-grown diamond from Brilliant Earth that I had dreamt of. He made sure to capture the moment with the beautiful proposal photography and chose one of the best places to propose.
Saying "yes" felt surreal, and Brandon's request to say it louder only added to the joy. The ring, a symbol of his love, shines as a constant reminder of that enchanting, perfect moment. The celebration continued with a champagne toast and a delightful Italian family-style dinner, my favorite cuisine.
Every glance at my ring brings back the energy, love, and surprise of that day. Truly an unforgettable romantic proposal on Thanksgiving weekend turned into the beginning of a beautiful forever. Now that I am engaged it’s time to for the next steps to plan my dream wedding, and yes, I will be hiring a wedding coordinator!
