In case you haven’t noticed a trend, on this side of the internet we support and celebrate Black businesses.

I am Olivia Evelyn, owner and lead planner of Evelyn Events. My goal is to create an inclusive space with good vibes and energy, focusing on reducing the stress in the wedding planning process and making self-care a priority. "Black Vendor Magic" is not just an annual styled shoot; it's a celebration of Black excellence in the wedding industry. "Black Vendor Magic" is the culmination of my passion for spotlighting Black Wedding Vendors and showcasing their exceptional work. The inspiration for this styled shoot comes from a blend of fashion week trends, anticipated industry shifts, and my creative vision. I envisioned a classic design infused with greens and blues that harmonize beautifully with melanated skin tones. Each element, from the ceremony site to the dinner table set up and the romantic moments captured reflects a timeless elegance and cultural richness.

Collaboration is at the heart of "Black Vendor Magic." I carefully select vendors based on past collaborations and recommendations, ensuring a cohesive and spectacular outcome. Siren and Co., known for their breathtaking videography, beautifully captured the essence of the shoot. Maleka, a talented photographer, once again brought her artistic vision to life through her lens. Mandisa, a hair and makeup artist I worked with previously, effortlessly created stunning looks that complemented our theme. Anissa from Soul Blossoms, our florist, transformed the space with her exquisite floral arrangements, adding a touch of natural beauty.

Models Nicole and Trevor, recommended by a friend, brought authenticity and charm to the shoot. Their chemistry and professionalism made every shot memorable. When unforeseen circumstances affected our initial photography plans, the support from DAMU Malik Photography and my fiancé's frat brother, both experienced photographers, was invaluable. Their expertise and dedication ensured that every moment was captured with precision and artistry.
